I have a picture of myself when I was about 4 years old standing in front of the television dancing. I was trying to tell a story through dance of a prince that was hopelessly in love with the princess. My brothers and sisters didn’t appreciate it very much because they wanted to watch the television. But I had a story to tell!
I am sure you have heard many stories about God and His son Jesus. How many different ways has the Lord spoken to you in your lifetime? Was it through His Word, a song, a sermon, a sunrise, a sunset, a dance or maybe even a drama? The Lord speaks to me in many ways as I am sure He does you. And much like that prince of my childhood the Savior, the Prince of Peace, has a story to tell about how in love He is with you and me.
What I never dreamed as a little girl was that I might have the opportunity to tell of God’s love. As I grew in my faith my prayer became very serious but simple-“Use me Lord. Let me be Your servant”. Through His mercy and grace He has put me in places that have allowed me to tell of His love through song and drama. Just like I was at 4 years old standing in front of the television I am saying…I have a story to tell you! It is a story of God’s love: “This is eternal life that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent” (John 17:3). I am excited but also very humbled by the opportunities He places before me.
